Personal Shoppers to help organise your care

January 20th, 2012
Care Home Support Services are a new, exciting and ethical service.

Their 'personal shopper service' offers free, professional advice and personal support to help you in your search for a care home.

Care Home Support Services was established by John Byrne, a qualified senior social worker, specialised in hospital discharges and care management with adults. John has now assembled a team of highly experienced professionals and individuals with direct experience to ensure a dedicated and person-centred service.

When choosing a care home for yourself or a loved one, Care Home Support Services understand the importance of such a decision and will take you through the whole process, one step at a time.

Their dedicated team of professionals will help you through the early stages of the process, onto arranging your move to a care home or care home with nursing of your choice.

Here are just some of the services they offer:

' A personal, 'meet and greet' service (currently offered to placements within a 50 mile radius of Birmingham).
'For outside of this area, They will thoroughly research and contact suitable care homes whilst liaising with professionals on your behalf.
' Assistance with completing the financial form (including photocopying of documents etc...).
' Assisting with obtaining Power of Attorney or Court of Protection documents (They would always advise you seek additional professional guidance from a legal professional in all cases).
' Helping you to arrange furniture removal (either to the care home or if you need help to clear the current abode) ' Please note that this may need the services of an external contractor for which there will be a charge (set by the contractor, not Care Home Support Services).
' If you have pets that you may need to find a new home for, They will assist with relocating them or will liaise with your social worker to do so.
' They will help you to prepare your personal Care Plan (this is usually completed by your social worker, however many 'self-funders' find themselves without this initial support).

Their friendly and professional approach will ensure you're as much at ease as possible during this often difficult time.

Advisors are available 7 days a week and can include evening times if you so wish.
